I washed the sponge a few times before using. Every time the water would run pink. It still seemed to run pink and leave a pink residue even after many uses and washes. Not sure if I received a faulty one. I have since discarded.

This beauty sponge feels super soft! I use it for the liquid foundation and it glides onto my skin giving it a nice even spread of foundation. Once I'm finished I rinse this bad boy under some warm water and leave to dry till the next day. So in love with this beauty sponge!!
